After returning from thanksgiving vacation, i sort of expected the GIANT HOLE IN MY CEILING ABOVE BY BED to be fixed..... this was not the case. Some contractor guy (i think he was russian or something) put a new hatch on the hole above my bed which i thought was an improvement over the emergency one the fire dept put up but alas this is not the case. It is raining very hard outside and now a leak has started ABOVE MY BED. My room is rather small and there isnt really a place for me to put my bed other than like.. the living room or something. This is some serious bullshit right here. One of my pillows is drenched so i threw it out. The water is coming through some small hole or someshit. I... Im so mad this is just retarded. Thankfully its not on my computer or i would have killed someone.... or moved. Well.... back to the application process. Im applying to BLIZZARD you know.....

Oh man left 4 dead is the shiznittlebamsammie. It looks great, plays great, is hard as fuck and its fun! I need to get another graphics card and link it with mine with SLi in order to run the game at full settings but it does look very very nice i gotta say. If you have an Xbox or a PC you gotta get it! If you like zombie movies, you gotta get it. The whole game is set up and plays like youare in a movie. There is even an option to add film grain. for serious. I would be playing it right now if I wasnt working.... or doing this shit. More on this game as i get more into it. SO!, i stubled upon an interesting clip yesterday which is a 1984(i think) animation test of Nemo in slumberland that studio Ghibli(Howls moving castle, Monoke Hime, Totoro) produced as a pilot. there is a clip of it on youtube however it looks way better on Google video and i cannot link that one for some reason...... so go here and watch it. Ghible.... well before they were ghibli, actually produced the hobbit cartoon, as well as the last unicorn. I knew there was something different about those films. they didnt seem cheaply made and alot of effort went into making them, more so than any american animation thats for sure. Interestingly enough the man that designed the characters for those two, well three if you count the lord of the rings movie, also designed frosty the snowman for that rankin bass cartoon that plays every year around christmas. hmmmmmmmm what was his name.... shit i forgot. but I really like his design work for the hobbit. i used to copy it as a kid. ok i gotta get back to work...... its FRIDAY!! WORD!?

DUDE! There are so many games out right now its unbelievable. I cant wait to go back home for thanksgiving, my brother just got Gears of War 2, Mirrors Edge.... others!! But thats not all I'm fired up about! This new comic im working on is really fun to draw because its so different from my other stuff. Most of this takes place in this rain forest ruins so theres lots of plants and fun shit to draw. Not just robots and stuff. Does this mean im getting older? Probably not, i just got into Magic the Gathering and I find that its probably the most fun game ive ever played. There are dudes that are way too good at it and buy individual cards to make these broken decks that arent fun to play against but with my friends its a great time. For serious. BUT AGAIN THERE ARE MORE THINGS TO BE FIRED UP ABOUT!! Pandora radio. Pandora.com its great, it loves you. Its like TiVo for music but without a rewind function. which is ok because "the hits just keep on comin'(radio announcer voice). If anyone reading this has not used pandora before, just.... just use it. it loves you. and so does HULU.com Which interestingly enough has anime now. This blog thing is sort of easy to do whenever, so i dont think im going to do it only on wed..... thursday anymore... ill do it all the time. FaSho'. More things i like and other ramblings coming soon. And if you havent noticed the legal info is up on my comic pages so that means that i can post art now. Just dont steal it....

Yeah so when i said that i was going to put updates up on wednesday, i think i actually meant thursday. The timestamps on those other posts were technically thursday after all so yeah..... THURSDAY. feel it. love it. know it. JCVD coming out soon gotta check that movie out. With the reviews on trailer i cannot believe its van damme. I have started another comic and it is well underway. the title is Demigod Satori: Quetzalcoatl. Satori is apparently as im told, japanese for awakening? and quetzalcoatl is the aztec sun god. there is a teaser image on the website (dandussault.com) but that image was made like 2 years ago almost. I bought a bootleg DVD of Demolitionman/Over the Top but the disk onlyhas demolitionman on it!! Dammit!! oh well shit was 4 bucks anyway. "he doesnt know how to use the 3 sea shells!! ha!" If you read a Brave New World and then watch demolition man its hilarious. And you know the scarlet letter... that shitty book you had to read in middle school. Well if you read that book or have just read that book you are in for a treat!! Watch the god awful movie with Demi Moore from like 1995. It is the worst adaptation of a book i have ever seen. They turn it into an action movie with explosions and Native attacks and they add characters.... its great. just fantastic. some dude was like.. OK GOTTA JAZZ THIS UP (he was probably german or something just to make him even further removed from the subjuct matter) then he was like "ya, add zee explosions hea! und zee azza indeeanz zeah. zeh vill do za flip ova za longhouse and ninja kill zee settlahs. Zis will make me famous!!" yeah no i dont even feel like checking imdb to see who made that peice of shit. but man is it bad. wow! like parody bad. aight i gotta go. more on this later.

OK! Its time for this to get for serious. Blog updates every Wednesday Night!! I cant wait! I will post any random stuff ive been doing and keep you, the reader, (you knows who you aint) up to date with my quest to get hired! While the adventure up until now has moved at a blistering speed of, molasses, the fire in my engines has been finally stoked and i am ready to move foreward into the world of notbeingpoorandhavingmoneyand notnotwantingtospendmoneybecauseidonthaveany. I have determined, right now, that i am afraid of sucess, yeah, is that a completely narcissistic thing to say? Shit i hope not. I have a degree in illust/cartooning, and i am doing that; and the company(Blam!Ventures) is finally hitting its stride, and Im not saying i need to get out of there, its just i need something in addition to the comic stuff. I need like a fulltime job thats not retail or something like that. I still have to send my storyboards to the agency, but if i can keep making stuff like that WoW fan art, im sure Ill be able to get a AAA job no time. I hear they have health insurance, which i need, OH YEAH SO.... there was a shit ton of smoke in my apartment couple weeks ago coming from the basement where the boiler's flue was closed (nice job guys...). Had my roomates not been home i would have died from lack of oxygen as i was passed the fuck out from sleeping pills and ear plugs (Flatbush Avenue= crackhead mating calls all night or some shit) so thank you roommates!! YOU SAVED MY LIFE! After you read this post, call a loved one, tell them thanks... its gonna be ok... (and then make like, an inhale sniff kinda noise and start to cry but hang up as soon as the noise from the fake crying starts) But yea.... so how bout that Obama winning the presidency huh?? My whole street was having a block party of sorts in celebration. My roomates and I joined in.... from our apartment window with speakers that should have been playing his speech but were not loud enough. I got to bang on a frying pan in an attempt to out do the woman with the sheet over her face ringing the cowbell (i failed!) though and Tim got to play the Star Spangled banner on the electric guitar, unfortunately he had to learn the song first so by the time he felt ready after the speech there were many people outside. But it was still cool. I heard a dude across the street say , "fuck U Poh-lice(like two accentuated syllables) fucking cracker! get outta here U racist!" I saw no cops, but isnt that... racism? Now, Im white, but i live in an entirely black community, its rare but sometimes i hear "cracker" or "whitey." Not from anyone i know thankfully. I will never understand how it feels to be black in america, so I cannot completely say i feel the same way but, i do feel that many of the people in my community who have lived there for years look at me as a sign of change, as a sign of take over. I dont pay enough rent to change the climate of the area but beleive me there are some serious serious hipsters "gentrifying" the pants off this place. I dont want to get lumped in with that mess. I dont want people looking at me and thinking "there goes the neighborhood." Wow this really got off track! Im done. More to come,

SO MANY CHOICES!!

I will not be using this blog for my "news" section on my website just yet. I have to sit down and customize it to match with my site.... and i dont really know how to customize the site so there in lies the problem. Well, anyway... there is an image attatched to this post. It is, i guess, a fan art for World of Warcraft.... even though i dont play WoW anymore and even when i did i wasnt a very hi level. It is of an orc with a quest to give standing out in the cold annoyed at his existence. While working on this i actually sensed that electric... kind of metallic smell/taste that comes on when it snows. You can see the type of snow flakes i used are the big clumpy ones meaning that (science science science). In the building with the tusks, there are shadows on the wall of dudes clinking glasses... but wouldnt orcs have pints or mugs not .... well i guess goblets work i dunno. The exclaimation point really seals the deal for me... not sure why, it looks exactly like the ones in the game. That being said does that mean that i should have rounded it out? I mean, the one in the game is super lo-polygon count. YOU BE THE JUDGE!!!

this one here is from the same deck of cards, they are norse themed and this is a type of sea serpent called jormundgand which i think means crabfish... or was that kraken. well anyway the two are interchangeable. usually this type of creature is depicted as some sort of dragon/fish or a huge octopus

No body has seen this..... im sure of it. I am trying to make this a gallery of sorts for artwork that ive done.... or will do. Basically I am trying to have a website for free. What people do not realize is that comics arent really a big business anymore (well i mean they still are but its not like the early 90's) so im not making millions here. actually Im barely making thousands. but Im trying to branch out. get myself out there. Perhaps get some work from Wizards of the Coast or... Games Workshop. Or.... Blizzard?? that would be cool. thus i have created this blog. so yeah there is nothing on here yet. but if that previous picture is any indication that i am indeed a cartoonist then perhaps there is hope. I would also like to use this blog to post links to things i find interesting of note.... or like if its something about the world ending like-

hey this blog thing is pretty easy to use. ok so see that guy in the background drawing? That is me... the guy in front of me wearing an oddly similar shirt is the creator of the popular comic mouse guard. David Petersen(son, syn, snn, nnn??) I think the drawing im doing is the one that i will (hopefully) get in an issue of mouse guard when its finished. more on SDCC08 later i have some work to do.
